Over 2.25 Lakh Devotees Visit Kashi Vishwanath Temple by 7 AM on First Shravan Monday
Varanasi: A massive surge of devotees marked the first Monday of the holy month of Shravan at Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple in Varanasi, with more than 2.25 lakh pilgrims offering prayers by 7 am on Monday, according to temple authorities.
The devotees lined up for jalabhishek after the temple opened its doors in the early morning mangala aarti, and sought the blessings of Lord Shiva. Kanwariyas and other worshippers were also welcomed with a shower of flowers at the temple complex as the auspicious occasion witnessed an overwhelming display of faith.
