Fire breaks out in 108 ambulance, child survives shortly

Konk Bureau: A fire broke out in a 108 ambulance while it was taking a patient to the hospital. All the passengers, including the child patient, narrowly escaped. The child patient and his family members in the ambulance were immediately taken out. As a result, a major incident was averted. According to the information, ambulance 108 from the Badchana area of ​​Jajpur district was heading towards the Sishu Bhavan in Cuttack carrying a child patient at around 1 A.M. last night. However, smoke came out of the ambulance suddenly near Badambadi and it caught fire. The driver and staff immediately stopped the vehicle and brought the situation under control. However, the cause of the fire in the ambulance is not clear. The fire is suspected to have been caused primarily by a mechanical fault or short circuit. There are allegations that such accidents are happening frequently because the 108 ambulances are not maintained properly.
