Bankipur Bypoll Results Live: Prashant Kishor Gains Early Edge over BJP Candidate

Patna: Jan Suraaj Party candidate Prashant Kishor took an early lead in the Bankipur Assembly bypoll in Bihar, ahead of BJP’s Neeraj Kumar Sinha by 862 votes after the first round of counting on Monday. Kishor secured 2,225 votes, while Sinha polled 1,363 votes. RJD candidate Rekha Gupta was third with 505 votes. Officials said counting, which began at 8 am, will continue through 31 rounds to determine whether political strategist-turned-politician Kishor can wrest the seat from the BJP.
