SC Refuses to Entertain PIL Seeking Mandatory Disclosure of Ethanol Content in Petrol
NEW DELHI: The Supreme Court on Monday refused to entertain a PIL seeking mandatory and uniform labelling of petrol pump nozzles to disclose the exact ethanol content in petrol. A bench of Justices MM Sundresh and PB Varale asked petitioner Narendra Kumar Goswami to approach the jurisdictional High Court. At the same time, Attorney General R Venkataramani termed the plea “proxy litigation,” citing a similar petition previously dismissed by the court.
