Earthquake felt in Shimla, intensity 4.3 on Richter scale

Shimla: Earthquake tremors were felt in various parts of Himachal Pradesh. The earthquake was felt on Friday night, and according to initial reports, its intensity was 4.3. The epicenter of the earthquake was found to be about 18 kilometers from Dharamshala. The earthquake caused panic among the locals for some time. Earthquake tremors were reported from almost all districts and surrounding areas, including Chamba, Kangra, Dharamshala, Kullu and Shimla.

As soon as the earthquake was felt, many people came out of their homes and buildings as a precautionary measure. However, no reports of any loss of life or property have been received. The administration is monitoring the situation. The Kangra region is considered seismically sensitive and has been included in the high seismic hazard zone. Dharamshala and surrounding areas experience mild to moderate earthquakes from time to time. Strong earthquakes have been felt in all districts of Himachal Pradesh.
