Stock Markets See Range-Bound Trade, End Nearly Flat

Mumbai: Benchmark equity indices Sensex and Nifty traded on a flat note in subdued early trade on Tuesday as investors remained cautious after the recent market rally amid weak Asian cues and fresh foreign fund outflows.

The 30-share BSE Sensex slipped 57.43 points to 77,061.94 in early trade, while the NSE Nifty declined 31.60 points to 24,071.30. Market sentiment remained subdued as investors refrained from taking aggressive positions following the recent gains in domestic equities. Weak trends across major Asian markets further weighed on investor confidence.

Fresh foreign institutional investor (FII) outflows also added pressure on the benchmarks, limiting buying interest during the opening session. Analysts said investors are closely monitoring global market developments and foreign fund flows for further direction, with volatility expected to persist in the near term.
