India’s First Private Rocket Gears Up to Launch Tech Payloads and PM’s Special Postcard

SRIHARIKOTA (Andhra Pradesh): India is set to achieve a major milestone in its space journey as Hyderabad-based Skyroot Aerospace prepares to launch Vikram-1, the country’s first privately developed orbital rocket, on Saturday.

The mission, named “Mission Aagaman,” will place multiple domestic and international technology demonstration payloads into low Earth orbit (LEO), marking India’s entry into the private orbital launch market.

Vikram-1 will also carry a micro-art payload and a handwritten postcard from Prime Minister Narendra Modi bearing the message “Vande Mataram,” along with postcards from engineers, scientists, and Indian astronauts, symbolising the nation’s growing ambitions in space exploration.
