Meerut Student Death: Chandrashekhar Azad Alleges Excessive Police Force against Protesters

MEERUT: Azad Samaj Party (Kanshi Ram) chief and Nagina MP Chandrashekhar Azad on Saturday alleged that police used excessive force against people protesting the murder of a Dalit student in Meerut. He claimed that demonstrators were subjected to unnecessary police action while demanding justice for the victim.

Azad, who was stopped by police at the Sivaya toll plaza on Friday while travelling to the victim’s village, later met the student’s mother and sister after district officials brought them to the toll plaza control room. The meeting took place in the presence of senior administrative officials.

After interacting with the family, Azad assured them of his full support in their pursuit of justice. He also called for a fair and impartial investigation into the murder and demanded strict action against all those responsible for the crime.
