PM Modi to Launch Bhogapuram Airport, Boosting Andhra’s Aviation Connectivity
Amaravati: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the Alluri Sitarama Raju International Airport at Bhogapuram in Andhra Pradesh’s Vizianagaram district on August 1. Built at a cost of nearly Rs 5,000 crore, the airport is expected to boost connectivity and drive economic growth across the North Andhra region.
The state government has described the project as a transformational asset rather than just an infrastructure initiative. According to the official schedule, Modi will arrive at the newly built airport from Delhi on a special aircraft at 10:45 am before taking part in the inauguration ceremony.
